Cavalier King Charles

With great beauty are companion dogs. They are a poor choice for a watch dog. Except to watch a bugular walk out the door with the silver. They may or may not bark even at a stranger. They are indoor dogs but also sporty so if not sitting in your lap they love nothing better than to take a walk or retrieve a flyball.

Cavaliers are great with children especially those that can throw a ball and teach them tricks. They also get along well with other dogs and they love a good game of tug awar, and even cats.

Cavaliers have dependent personalities. They love to be with people and shouldn’t be left alone for long periods of time. They are highly intelligent and willing to try whatever you’d like them to do. Food rewards and positive reinforcement helps to ensure that training goes smoothly. They have soft personalities so yelling at them can send them into a sulk or hiding.
